RipTip.io is a free utility that allows users to generate smartlinks connected to their XRP or RIPT addresses, enabling supporters to send tips directly through the Xaman wallet on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). We do not process, store, or hold user funds.

  • XRP/RIPT Address: When generating a smartlink, you provide your public wallet address.
  • Display Name or Handle: Used to personalize your smartlink.
  • Optional Social Links or Descriptions: If you include them when setting up your smartlink.

B. Automatically Collected Information

We automatically collect limited, non-personal data for analytics and security, including:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Approximate geographic region (city-level, anonymized)
  • IP address (temporarily for anti-abuse and rate limiting)
  • Device type and general traffic statistics (page views, session duration)

This data is anonymous and used only to improve performance, stability, and security.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Generate and host your tipping smartlink
  • Display your provided public info to users visiting your smartlink
  • Monitor system performance and prevent abuse
  • Maintain the integrity and safety of the RipTip.io platform
  • Improve site functionality and user experience

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing.

4. Wallets and Transactions

  • All transactions occur directly within the Xaman wallet on the XRPL.
  • RipTip.io does not have access to your private keys, wallet credentials, or balances.
  • The site never stores or transmits any sensitive wallet data.
  • Transaction details (amounts, addresses, hashes) are publicly visible on the XRP Ledger by design.

6. Smartlink Data

Smartlinks are public URLs that may display:

  • The creator's display name
  • Their XRP or RIPT address
  • Linked social handles (if provided)

7. Data Retention

  • Smartlink data is stored for as long as the link remains active.
  • Logs and analytics data are retained for a limited period (typically 30–90 days) to improve site performance and detect abuse.

RipTip.io may contain links to third-party sites (e.g., social profiles, wallets, or NFT marketplaces). We are not responsible for the privacy or content of external websites. Always review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
